Delicious plant-based brunch
I got 99 problems and protein ain't one
What is green food? Green foods are basically green vegetables that will help you to live healthier and help you in a more sustainable lifestyle. Eating a more plant-based diet is not only healthy for you but also better in the sense of eating more climate-friendly. If you try to it locally and seasonally it is even better. Green foods are leafy greens, salads, herbs, vegetable greens, or in general greens. To mention a few: Spinach, broccoli, parsley, lettuce, kale, peas, or kiwi. The leafy greens are often high in protein and vitamin C. In general all of these foods have plenty of vitamins in them. Protein from plants, you wonder. Yes, it is true that also plants contain proteins. Not as many as meat, but if you need more, you can always add beans or green lentils. This will make you super strong and healthy and create an awareness of the planet’s limited resources.
By now there are so many blogs and exotic, easy, and delicious recipes with plant-based food. Try to find the vegetables that grow near you or are in season. Usually, cabbage is good during autumn and winter for instance. You can also make extremely delicious juices with green foods. Yum!
