The inn’s first head chef, Michel Michaud, introduced French gastronomy to Denmark, followed by Jean-Louis Lieffroy, who dedicated an impressive 38 years to the establishment, 34 of which he served as head chef and director, elevating the venue’s reputation for high-quality French cuisine.

From 2008 to 2017, Per Hallundbæk maintained the inn’s exceptional culinary standards, succeeded by Kasper Tind Hasse, who took charge of the legendary Molteni stove and later became managing director in 2020. Staying true to the inn’s French roots and the concept of local cuisine, Hasse aims to enhance the menu with even more locally sourced ingredients, particularly from producers in Funen, while celebrating the simplicity and flavor of seasonal offerings.

Falsled Kro is still owned by members of the Grønlykke family, along with former footballer Michael Laudrup, winemaker Peter Sisseck, and other prominent Danish business figures. The inn is part of the prestigious international association of luxury hotels and restaurants, Relais & Châteaux.
