Andelen Guesthouse is Ærø’s one-of-a-kind boutique hotel.
It is formerly the town’s granary, and this lovingly restored building oozes old-world charm whilst offering modern comforts and facilities to travellers from all over the world. Andelen is also home to Denmark’s smallest public cinema and the international Ærø Jazz Festival.

Andelen Guesthouse is located in the center of fairy-tale Ærøskøbing within easy walking distance of the ferry terminal, main town square, beaches, museums, restaurants and shops, Andelen is the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful island of Ærø, the pearl of the South Funen Archipelago.?

What to see in Ærø

It takes about 30 min to drive for one end of the island to the other in a car.
This makes the island perfect for bicycle trips since you are able to explore most of the island with a bike throughout a few days.
The island is covered with beautiful fields, clear blue water, and the greatest white beaches!
Ærø is well known for its old beautiful colorful houses located in Ærø at the cobblestone streets and their cute little beach huts.

The rooms

Andelen offers a variety of rooms that ooze old-world charm, romance, and rustic simplicity. Whether you choose our standard rooms, our spacious triple room or our romantic wedding/family suite, you will be sure to find a lovingly restored space with an authentic and uniquely personal feel.
All rooms share bathrooms and showers at the corridor – besides the wedding/family suite that has a private bathroom and shower.
We have never been the biggest fans of sharing bathroom/showers with other guests, but during our 3 days stay it was no issue at all at Andelen Guesthouse. The owner Adam made sure it was always clean and tidy which made it pleasant to be a guest.

The facilities

Adam has made sure that it’s easy for guest to enjoy themselves while staying at Andelen Guesthouse. There is a bunch of coffee machines and tea kettles you can bring to your room. The fridge is also constantly filled with fresh and cold drinking water in bottles.
If you want to explore the island by bike you can rent it for a very fair price of 100,- DKK per day. The price becomes cheaper if you rent for several days and we recommend you to reserve a bike while booking your stay.

Smallest cinema in Denmark

In the basement of Andelen Guesthouse is Andel Bio – the smallest cinema in Denmark.
We had free access since we stayed at Andelen Guesthouse and we went to see the new Lion King. In Denmark, movies are shown with English speaking and danish subtitles.

Breakfast at Torvet

You can make your own breakfast at Andelen Guesthouse and keep your groceries in the shared fridge. But if you like a lovely breakfast you can visit the cafe just across with street and get an incredible breakfast buffet for only 100.- (including everything) if mentioning you live with Adam at Andelen Guesthouse.
