Odda – Kambestad

This blogpost contains advertisement.

We stayed 2 nights in Kambestad not far away from a city called Odda and Hardangerfjord.
It was a perfect stop between our stay at the beautiful old cabin in Vinje and our next stop Bergen.
I, Rasmus, travelled around Odda with a friend of mine a few years back where we went to explore the iconic spot Trollrunga (see picture below). Unfortunatly, this time of the year the trail is closed due to heavy snow.

However, the location could not have been better for this cute little holiday home who is owned by Sigmund, a kind host who made sure we got settled well. Sigmund was born and raised in this little town and lives just around the corner if anything should happen.

There are 3 terraces that make it possible, for you to enjoy the view and sun no matter what time of day it is. There is a lovely supermarket (Spar) located just 500m from the cabin that makes it easy when you need to buy groceries for cooking.

Besides Trolltunga, you have lots of beautiful nature and sceneries just around the corner.
We drove around 40 min to get to two incredible waterfalls you can see on the pictures below.

There is plenty of things to explore around the area and lots of hiking routes! If you want to read more about the area you can check out this link about Hardangerfjord. If you just want to relax and enjoy your holiday, you can simply also just sit on the terrace and watch the big tankers sailing by.

You can find prices, availability and book this beautiful holiday home via INTER CHALET on this link.
