Femhoej in Jægerspris is a nice bed&breakfast

Femhoej in Jægerspris is a beautiful old school which has been completely renovated in 2016. Femhoej is a bed&breakfast with great facilities and located in the most idyllic surroundings. All energy from Femhøj is from the solar cells just 100 meters from Femhoej and there is a district heating system that provides all hot water to Femhoej. The owner (Jacob Pfeiffer) though a lot about sustainable solutions when renovating from a school to a B&B.
Femhoej is manged by Gerlev Kro where you pick up the key for the main entrance and your room. The fact that you pick up the key a few hundred meters from the accommodation, gives a certain kind of freedom. You feel very welcome and at home – even though there is no staff welcoming you at Femhoej.

Greenkey Certification.

The Green Key award is the leading standard for excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operation within the tourism industry. This prestigious eco-label represents a commitment by businesses that their premises adhere to the strict criteria set by the Foundation for Environmental Education. A Green Key stands for the promise to its guests that by opting to stay with the Green Key establishment, they are helping to make a difference on an environmental level. The high environmental standards expected of these establishments are maintained through rigorous documentation and frequent audits. Green Key is eligible for hotels, hostels, small accommodations, campsites, holiday parks, conference centers, restaurants, and attractions.

The rooms are as the rest of the beautiful B&B all newly renovated. The interior is minimalistic and clean and you get a great hotel vibe when entering the rooms. There are all the amenities you need and the rooms will get cleaned on a daily basis.

Food and experiences

There is a small but great breakfast arrangement in the lounge area of the Femhoej building. However, if you need lunch or dinner you have to visit Gerlev Kro or other nearby cafees or restaurants. We have also made an activity guide for you when you are staying at Femhoej, so you know what to see in Jærgerspris!
