Casa Pedro Finca Almogia

We have gotten SO many questions about where we are staying in Almogia, Malaga. SO many of you find Casa Pedro as beautiful and scenic as we do and you want to book it for your next vacation! Finally, we are going to spill the deets about Casa Pedro Finca, Almogia. I have the biggest love for this beautiful Finca, and I actually feel all jealous and protective of the place. Casa Pedro is so special, that I don’t want anyone else to stay here… *whispering: my precious…* But being a travel blogger and all, spilling the deets about places like this is kinda part of the job description – so here we go!

Location

Casa Pedro Finca Almogia is located about 40 minutes in a car from the center of Malaga and 15 minutes from the nearest town named Casabermeja in Spain. As you can imagine Casa Pedro is kinda in the middle of nowhere. It lies on the top of a mountain and has a beautiful view of the white town Almogia that is situated on another mountaintop. Casa Pedro’s only neighbors are a goat and sheep farm and the bells on these animals are the only things you will really hear besides bird chippering and the wind in the palm trees. It is the best place to be if you need peace and silence. The closest supermarket is in Casabermeja, which is 15 mins in the car. However, the range of special (read: vegan) groceries is rather limited here, which is why we shop for the more specialized products in a big Carrefour in Malaga once a week. It is possible to go on hikes on the mountain, but the terrain is rough and steep and the hikes are limited. We would recommend driving to more popular hiking areas. You will most definitely need to rent a car if you are staying at Casa Pedro, as all sightseeing, like the Andalusian white towns, is located about a one hour drive away.

Outdoor facilities

Casa Pedro is built for the outdoorsy people! There are so many amazing and fun outdoor facilities that you honestly want to be outside all the time. Among other things, there is an infinity pool, lounge area, outdoor dining area, outdoor kitchen, outdoor bar, petanque course, yoga platform, outside gym, open-air cinema and the list goes on! We use all of these facilities multiple times every week and it feels so good to spend this much time outside. If the wind and bird chippering becomes too quiet for you, Casa Pedro is equipped with speakers all over the house and in all outdoor areas. We love to have lounge vibes blasting through the speakers when we sit and work during the afternoons. Furthermore, the outdoor areas are really big, so you are able to invite the whole family over for a barbecue dinner.

Kitchen and living room

Casa Pedro is also equipped with a lovely inside kitchen, dining and living room. It is highly functional with every kitchen gadget you might need for preparing your tasty summer meals or yummy Spanish tapas. There is also a big fridge and freezer so you are able to stock up on fresh groceries, cold beverages, and ice cream. The kitchen is modern and decorated very beautiful. There is a dining table that can fit eight, a small sofa and a lounge chair. There is also a fireplace that is so cozy and warm in the wintertime. The room is quite small, which again suggests that the house is definitely built for outdoors people. If you are a big family staying at Casa Pedro, this might be the only disadvantage. It will definitely be fine to prepare food in, but if the weather is bad, and you are a lot of people seeking comfort in this room, it can be a bit crowded. However, on days with sunshine where you are staying mostly outside and also want to dine outside, it is a perfect fit. Furthermore, we want to add that there is a child chair and accessories for feeding babies and kids, so don’t worry about bringing this with you.

The rooms and studio

Casa Pedro has two bedrooms, a studio and a tv room with a sofabed. You can fit seven to eight adults in total in four beds(seven to eight because the sofa bed is smaller). The rooms are so beautifully decorated in a beachy boheme style that really makes you feel like you are on vacation. The beds are super comfy and so is the bedding. The bedrooms and the studio have their own bathrooms with showers and toilets. The bathrooms are so beautiful and functional. They even have heat in the floor which is perfect, because when you wake up in the morning the stone floors can be a bit chilly.

As I mentioned, in the beginning, we are absolutely in love with this space. We feel so at home here and the owner, Erik, has been so accommodating to us. We would love to come again every winter for a “work-ation” and get a bit of sun in our eyes. If you want to read more about Casa Pedro or book the house for your next holiday, you can click below.
