Milan – Italy

Why Milan?

We wanted a weekend getaway from Copenhagen to enjoy each other in new and exciting surroundings, and none of us had ever been to Milan. Since Karoline is a craving shopaholic and she needed to get her fix the day we arrived, we agreed that she only got one hour to go shopping in the famous and pulsating shopping capital. After her bargained three hours of shopping and a gentle reminder from her sponsor, we decided to use the rest of our money (not Karolines, obviously..) on the fantastic Italian food.
This weekend in Milano was suddenly all about drinking, dining and looking deeply into each other’s eyes in romantic settings. Our Milan guide is therefore about the romantic and no-less-than-perfect restaurants and bars we would recommend you to experience in Milan. If you decide to pay a visit to one of these places with your better half, we guarantee you that your senses will be heightened and you will fall in love all over again – and if not with your partner, then in Milan!

Navigli

This gem is located in the Southwest of Milan’s centre. By the canal, you find cafes and restaurants that serve delicious food. If you are searching for the authentic Italian atmosphere you have to visit or stay in this part of the city.

Sapori Solari

This unique Italian restaurant only offers the best ingredients. There is no menu card, but three fixed courses. The menu consists of the most delicious carpaccio of different meats and a plate of cheese to finish off with. After this dining experience, we wondered if we ever wanted to eat vegetables again – The flavoured and unbelievable carpaccio seemed like the only food in the world.

Officina 12 – Gin Bar

In Navigli you will find the restaurant ‘Officina 12’ which serves great Italian food and has a brilliant offer to gin-lovers.
In their courtyard there is a cosy atmosphere and 172 different types of gin. The bar Gin o’12 is the first bar in Milano to serve in. Definitely a visit and a taste worthy. .
